JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 3 Episode 7, “Tokyo Colony No. 1,” continues the intense Culling Game arc from Jujutsu Kaisen, and this episode proves one big thing — it’s a trap from the very beginning.
The episode opens with a quiet but creepy scene. A teenage girl named Sasaki is lying in her room when she hears a voice. It is Kenjaku, the mastermind behind everything. He tells her that her neighborhood is inside a barrier and has been chosen as part of the deadly Culling Game. The Culling Game is a battle where sorcerers must fight each other to survive. Sasaki politely asks him not to turn her area into a battlefield. Kenjaku laughs but allows her to leave before the game officially begins. Before parting, he thanks her for being kind to his “son.” This hints at his strange connection to Yuji Itadori.
Meanwhile, Yuji Itadori and his friends are dealing with heavy emotions. Yuji still feels guilty about the Shibuya Incident, where many people died. He blames himself because Sukuna used his body to cause destruction. But there is no time to cry. The Culling Game has started, and they must act fast to save others.
Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro, and Panda explain everything to Kinji Hakari and Kirara. Hakari is shocked to hear that Satoru Gojo has been sealed. The group also learns that Principal Yaga has died. The mood is serious, but they decide to focus on stopping the game. Hakari agrees to help, but only if there is something in it for him.
Soon, a small creature called Kogane appears. It announces a new rule added by Hajime Kashimo. This gives the group an idea. If they find strong players with many points, they can force them to create new rules. One new rule they want is the ability to transfer points between players. That way, they can gather enough points to create a rule that allows players to escape the game.
They split into teams. Hakari and Panda head to Tokyo Colony No. 2. Yuji and Megumi go to Tokyo Colony No. 1 to find a powerful player named Hiromi Higuruma. Kirara stays behind for support. There is also pressure because Megumi’s sister, Tsumiki, will soon be forced to enter the Culling Game.
When Yuji and Megumi enter the barrier, they are immediately separated. Yuji suddenly falls from the sky. A strange sorcerer with jet-like hair attacks him. But Yuji easily defeats her. Another attacker with helicopter blades on his head joins the fight. Even though it looks dangerous, Yuji stays calm and uses his strength wisely. He breaks the rotor with a strong punch and wins the fight quickly.
Elsewhere, Megumi is also attacked by a girl named Remi. She pretends to be weak and asks Megumi to protect her. Megumi agrees, but only if she is telling the truth. Unlike Yuji, Megumi is ready to kill if necessary. He understands that many of these players are dangerous and cannot be trusted.
Yuji meets a boy named Rin Amai. Amai says they went to the same middle school. Yuji does not remember him clearly, but Amai claims he knows where Higuruma is. Yuji decides to trust him for now and follows him.
At the same time, Megumi asks Remi where Higuruma is. She says he is in Shinjuku. But Amai tells Yuji that Higuruma is in Ikebukuro. The two guides give completely different answers.
This is where the episode ends, and the title makes sense. Someone is lying. Someone is setting a trap.
The episode focuses less on big explosions and more on strategy and tension. It shows that the Culling Game is not just about fighting. It is also about tricks, lies, and survival. Yuji continues to show kindness, even in danger. Megumi becomes more serious and darker, showing he is willing to cross lines to protect his sister.
Most importantly, the episode builds suspense. Who is telling the truth about Higuruma? Is Yuji walking into danger? Can Megumi trust Remi? The Culling Game has only just begun, and already it feels deadly.
Episode 7 sets up the next big confrontation while reminding viewers that in this game, trusting the wrong person could mean death.
